Hi Neighbors,

My name is Molly, and I’ve been a resident of the Highlands area for over 10 years. This community has been where I planted roots, started my family, and the inspiration behind everything we’re working to create with Two Hearts Play Café.

At its core, this project is about building something meaningful for the families who live here, a place where young children can play safely and freely, and where parents, caregivers, grandparents, and friends can gather, connect, and slow down for a moment.

Two Hearts Play Café is designed specifically for children ages 0–6 and the people who care for them. The space will feature a thoughtfully designed indoor play area alongside a full coffee bar and a simple café menu to start. Our goal is to create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and, just as importantly, clean, calm, and well cared for.

We’re also excited to partner with local Savannah businesses, bringing offerings like PERC Coffee and baked goods from Auspicious Baking Company into the neighborhood, while also supporting other local makers over time.

In addition to everyday play, we plan to offer a premier destination for small, thoughtfully hosted birthday celebrations for younger children, something many families in the area have expressed a need for.

Even if you don’t have children, the café will be open to everyone. Whether you’re stopping in for coffee, grabbing something to go, or meeting a friend, our hope is that this becomes a place the neighborhood enjoys and feels proud of. I also plan to be a fervent supporter and advocate for getting the future Highlands Park in motion.

As part of this process, we are requesting a rezoning for the property to allow for this specific use, classified as “indoor amusement with accessory food service.” While the terminology may sound technical, it simply reflects the combination of a children’s play environment with a small café component as required by the City of Savannah.
